julie ansiau

Paris based photographer Julie Ansiau graduated in Photography at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 1998. She also specialized in Archeology and Indian Art History at La Sorbonne. She won the Picto Bourse du Talent Award, the Leica Ensad Prize and the Joop Swart Masterclass of the World Press Photo with her long term work « Rondes de Nuit » about the strip dancers from Pigalle.

She has been working since the 90’s for many French, Japanese and international magazines like Grazia, Elle, Elle à table, Milk Deco, Vogue Nippon, Vogue Bambini, Cosmopolitan, Wall Street Journal or Madame Figaro Japon in many lifestyle fields : portraiture, architecture, travel, kids fashion, and interior decoration.

Her commercial clients include Astier De Villatte, Le Centre Pompidou, Jardineries Truffaut, Perrier Jouët, Sotheby’s, Le Bon Marché, Guy Degrenne, Bien Fait Paris, Antik Batik, Pierre Frey, Guy Degrenne, Hast, Abritel, Disneyland Paris, Ikea, Fermob, Vert Baudet…

Julie is also a yoga passionate since 1991. She regularly attends yoga workshops and Bhakti music festivals in India, France and abroad, and also performs in sacred music circles and kirtans with her « Freestyle Kirtan » band.
